VeriSign marketing - they listen

Posted on by Ben Rothke

In What’s with VeriSign and their deceptive marketing tactics? and On deceptive email I get from VeriSign, I wrote of my disdain for what I perceived to be deceptive marketing tactics from VeriSign.

A few days after I wrote my most recent post, the Director of Marketing at VeriSign called me and said that she saw what wrote.

We spoke about the issue and she agreed that the mailings and emails that were sent out were indeed misleading.

She said that VeriSign is in the process of revamping such marketing efforts and that while some similar collateral may be in the pipeline; in the coming months, such tactics should be a thing of the past.

Let’s hope so.
