OS X Mountain Lion, Apple’s latest operating system release from July 2012 introduces a number of new security features.  For only 99 cents, Gatekeeper: What's New in OS X Mountain Lion Security, available for the Kindle, provides a good overview of these new features.

Gatekeeper is an anti-malware feature in OS X and enables users to restrict which external sources they will allow software applications from.  Gatekeeper builds on OS X's existing malware checks to protect a Mac from malware and misbehaving applications.
